What would you recommend??

G'day guys,
I purchased an SVO 351R Block a while back that was Drysumper originally and you drilled and converted to a standard Oiler, the block is one of the 9.200 Deck blocks and the Bores are virgin having not been machined as yet...My Question to you is:confused: .....Seeing that I would Ideally like a 427 stroker is this possible or even advisable with this block, should I be looking at dropping back the cubes to say a 408/410......having already purchased the block ,I have Twisted Wedge R Heads and a Morrison 8 x48mm Crosss Ram setup......Plans are for a weekend Racer/come regular cruiser...seriously contemplating sending it back your way to get it done !!! I await the wisdom of KC.

Regards Pauls

Ps.. Pics of Injection in my Gallery with Heads and Block sitting underneath..Cheers

Block

I like to keep the stroke at 3.750 to 3.850 on these blocks for a better rod length and piston design. You can do the 4.125 bore with these strokes and get 400 to 410C.I. combinations. You can do the 4.00 stroke and use a 6.200 rod but you will have a 1.100 compression distance on the piston. This will work fine but will have the pin into the oil ring and not very good package for boost or nos. If you are running naturally aspirated it would be fine. Just let us know how we can help. Thanks, Keith Craft
