Nice!! I used to live in Louisville, went to Trinity High School. Fantastic climate, you get the 4 seasons but none to the extreme. In Houston we get Hot and Hotter and raining.

Juan, that's a beauty for sure!

The tail pipes look different than the standard SPF rear exhaust. Did you change them?

Looks great. It is nice to see a different but very classy look.
Good choice with the wire wheels.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

Pipes

Hi 1410,

Yes, the original pipes that Superformance gives you are, for me, too small in diameter. I had a custom built set of pipes and mufflers that are 2-1/2" in diameter. Had them Black ceramic coated and routed differently than Superformance does.

Great job and the sound is just awesome.

Looks great, Juan! What happened with the 289 - did you just fall out of love with it, or was there another reason for switching to the SPF 427? In the interest of comparing brands/types, it would also be interesting to hear your heads up evaluation of the two very different approaches to the hobby.

What happened?

Nothing wrong with the Unique 289. Well made. 289 FIA body style was what attracted me to Unique. Absolutely gorgeous.

Mainly the car was just too small inside for me and my wife, and I always wanted a hardtop but I could not get anything but the Lemans top. Plus I had gotten used to the seats on my previous Cobra so I had to go back to that level of comfort.

Second my wife refused to get in my car after a friend of ours was in a near fatal crash in another Cobra with only one roll bar. My Unique had only one roll bar and Unique could not get a second roll bar on my car in an economically feasible way after I had had the car for well over two years.

Would I recommend a Unique, absolutely.
