I think a polite idea would be to start a new thread about guessing what the latest delight from KMS will be...

...so that this thread can be used exclusively to manage the RSVPs and questions about the Open House...

Bob,

I'm considering flying up and back on 2/13/10.

Going out of Sacramento doesn't appear that great as far as departure times. Flying out of Oakland, you can get a non-stop departing at 8:50 AM and arriving in SLC at 11:40 AM. With renting a car, that would put you at the Kirkham's shop around 1:00 PM. Spend three hours there and back on a 6:25 PM flight back to Oakland arriving at 7:30 PM.

I'm contemplating those flight times for myself. Not perfect though, but appears the best available, unless you fly in on Friday, but then what do you do in SLC in the evening? Do they serve coffee in UT?

I have just booked my flight from Burbank to Salt Lake City...how is the best way to get from the airport to the Kirkham Summit? I arrive in SLC at 10:10 AM.

RodKnock 02-01-2010 08:55 PM

I would assume either cab or rental car.

Is there anyone going from the Bay Area?

From the airport.
1. Follow signs out to Provo.
2. You will merge onto I-80 east bound
3. Take the next exit. It is the I-215 exit. Stay in the right lane and go south
4. South on I-15
5. West (right) on exit #269 University Parkway
6. South (left) on Geneva Rd. (frontage road to I-15)
7. East (left) on 1680 N
8. Go over RR tracks. Bldg on immediate right.

The drive should take about 45 min.
