let me try this , ive had to join this site to post so may not let me upload yet.
acustafill site : Acoustafil Exhaust Silencer Acoustic Insulation, Introduction

the pics on the main site show a very small amount but this is exagerated, in my pics you will hopefully see it was rolled up not tight to allow for expansion . my sidepipes are 5" with 2.5" baffles .

ive posted but waiting for aproval as i'm a newbie

good it made it , pic 3 shows how much i was over . I ordered 3 square metres, 2 would have done it.

Why not just start a new thread on exhaust?

Your pieces look just like the kirkhams, except you have a removable tip as well. Where did you buy these components?

i got the exhausts made at a tube forming company close to me, the quality reflects the price i paid ( under half the going rate ) so i dont think they would meet the build quality you have given to your kirkham. I just told them what components i wanted them to have and what i wanted to be able to do with them. I didnt want to clutter you excelent thread with my ramblings just wanted to highlight the acoustafil product as an alternative to rock-wool and wire-wool
