Kirkham coil-over spring rates
My car was delivered with 450 lbs/per inch springs on the shocks at all four corners.
Has anyone gone the extra effort to put his or her car on a set of scales to set the corner weights and ride height? Did you have to change the springs and to what rate did you change them? My car has a KC aluminum 482 and TKO600 drivetrain. Thanks in advance! |
I've just had mine fully set up with corner balancing and got within 0.5kg with a 100kg driver and half a tank of fuel. :)
That was on the original 450lb & 600lb springs. Interestingly, the front to rear weight distribution was 48% front/52% rear and I have a "heavy" iron 427 S/O, albeit with ali heads. Paul |
