Great thank you. Maybe a future project of mine, WAY down the road. After the installation of my new magnesium wheels.

I wish I had this info when the bulkhead panel was out being powdercoated. I like the detail very much.

Can't wait for the peanut gallery to comment on that one. :p  ;)

FB, you have a really, really nice car. I always like to see what folks hold onto in the interest of originality and then what the same folks may overlook... In your case, the biggest and first thing folks see (paint on the body) does not match any of the original racecars! On the other hand you have the little-known suitcase patch for FIA homologation. Some folks are big-picture and some folks sweat the minute details and gloss over the whole.

I certainly am not one to judge - mine is powered by a 540 BBC.

Again - Very nice car!

Thank you for the positive comments. However, I haven't "overlooked" the paint, it was my personal choice. While there may or may not have been an original Cobra that raced unpainted, I haven't attempted to replicate any particular car and it would certainly have been possible to have had an unpainted Cobra from new as they were generally all painted to the customers requirements.
Also, if it was painted, it would hide the beautiful aluminium that was hand formed by skilled artisans. ;) :MECOOL:

All the pics are in the 289 build thread as my gallery is way oversized and no longer accepting pictures.. The thread is in Scratch Forum

SPF bumps are a bit extreme?

They are, but it was the best picture I could find at the time. :)

I'll have a look through your pictures when I have a spare moment or two.

Burn the witch, burn him!

Just kidding, to each his own! I'm continually impressed by the care and workmanship that people put into their cars. That's what this is all about.

mried,

Burn the witch? HaHaHaHAHAHa, MUAAAHHHAHAHA

Gotta catch me first... My BBC works fine at the drags and I consistently track my car as well. You should see me pull past the TT cars and the ASR cars on the straights

With that little-bitty 427 Boss, you may want a friend to push from behind if you're gonna try to catch me... HAHAHAHA, MUUAHHHHHAHAHA

See ya round the funny farm! ;D
