NY State Registration

I am working with a DMV middleman in NYC..
But they have tried 2 different DMV locations and each one refuses to register the car, They claim it is a kit car and has not gone through safety testing..
What to Do???

You need to send the car through their enhanced NYS kit car inspection.

No other legal way around it, especially since they now have the VIN in their system.

The State of NY and every person that sees you on the street with the car would like you to know that you do in fact have a kit car. So get the registration packet from Albany and follow the process.

Go with the flow. It might be a pain, but at the same time it is not impossible as evidenced by the many replicas registered in NY. The quicker you get the packet, the sooner you will be on the road.

Compared to what we have to meet here in Aus... I'll go out on a limb, and suggest it should be a piece of cake.
As stated above, just go with the flow, and follow their process.

The Flow sucks..

Spoke with albany, packet on the way..

I need a defroster?????????

What have others done for this, a temp blower atop the dash??

Do I need the red/ amber 4 light set up in rear?

Padded visors no prob.
Padded dash?

Reverse light, does it need to be wired to Tremec? or manual on??

OYYYYYYY!

What else did I miss?

Jump on the Aussie forum... And ask how people managed each of these items.
These are tip of the iceberg things for us here and almost standard operating procedure.

Enjoy

tremec does have a reverse switch. Some people make a temp bracket to the rear bumper to hook up reverse light for inspection.

This should be good... CA has one of the most complicated registration processes for these cars in the USA. That's of course if you follow the law.

Titles Unlimited?

If it's a used car you are golden.

Why don't you just register the car in Florida and get Florida plates. Problem solved....
