Inner CV boot replacement
I can't quite say for sure how long it's been torn (in two) but possibly 1,000 miles (8,400 mile car). Although the tear looks somewhat fresh because the newly exposed edges are "clean".
At any rate, I'm replacing all of 'em. How much of a PITA is it? Any tips or pointers? Thanks in advance. |
Rodney,
I'm also in need of new boots and I've been contemplating using these: https://youtu.be/iLrGNU_t83Y Ted |
Now that's a handy product!

Thanks for the help, guys.
The boot style in the video isn't the same as mine. Plus, it's not the changing of boots, but the disassembly that I'm questioning. The boots in the Kirkham are connected internally, than out to the shaft. Changing it will require taking the inner hub apart to some degree, unless you guys know better. |
