Nice car, why are you selling?

twobjshelbys 02-07-2019 08:54 PM

You will get a lot more serious traffic if you place a for sale ad with www.cobracountry.com.

Of course, and I should not have to post it, it's just my personal opinion, as is my right, which the courts will uphold, no matter who posts what for sale on this discussion forum.

With the smaller grill area for the small block, I wonder how it effects cooling the big block under the hood?

but this 3002 replica is not a 289 FIA Hybrid that never existed in period.

This is a replica of a real car, even the brushed Aluminium is period correct ;)

So soon?
What's changed?

RodKnock 02-08-2019 01:19 PM

I think you're getting "pretty far down in the weeds" with a 3002 replica. The whole 1/2 the car is 289 and 1/2 is 427 freaks me out. The 427 suspension on a 289 body (hybrid) doesn't freak me out as much.

Of course, $109,000 seems pretty cheap to me.

I'm reusing Bill's disclaimer for the sake of brevity :

What would it cost to have Kirkham put a 427 nose on that thing?

F355FTS 02-08-2019 04:14 PM

to each their own about the body

the way I see it, there has only been five of these built per David. Pretty exclusive, Its the body style of the first 427 that Shelby did. And it's a bargin price, buy a Rolex with all that left over money :)

It up for sale because I buy cars and enjoy them for a year or so and then try to make a small profit for my next one. Two car garage limits my collection, and variety is the spice of life. Just ask all my girlfriends.

If you have a restomod mustang with AC iam very interested in a partial trade.

Its a start but not a 3002 replica other than nose and roll bar....
Autometer gauges..
Fabulaous car but alloy suspension and vented rotors would not pass vintage requirement as I know it. Alloy bodies now overlooked but everything else needs to be period.
Paint missing
Dry sump missing
289 dash missing
FIA race wheels missing
One off oil cooler opening missing
Comp seat missing
etc etc etc.... Lots $ to qualify for vintage. (?) Brakes, Rotors, A-arms not cheap

Great car, no slight but making it a dead ringer for 3002 would be a few bucks... Its a good price though...
