Diff oil change questions on Kirkham.
Planning to do the road trip from Seattle to Reno for the WCCB next week and changing the fluids for the ride.
What oil do the Kirkhams use when they come from them and are any additives required? I would like to repeat whatever is done from their shop as it functions perfectly well to this point. How much do I need? Thanks for the help. |

I use regular Castrol 80-90 in my Kirkham and one bottle of Motorcraft Friction Modifier, available from Ford. Premix the Modifier in a bottle of gear oil and fill to the top of the filler hole. Hi Brent,
Kirkham told me to fill #318 aluminium center section with 5 pints of fluid and one half pint modifier. This amount is instead of using the fill hole as a gauge. Maurice Lawrence |

After your correction, I looked at my notes in daylight. I should have said 3 pints lube and one half pint modifier. 54 oz total.. Thanks Maurice |
