We will do the Medium Riser first. Then we will see if there is a market for other heads.
I appreciate all the questions; it helps us a lot to know what to do.

David,
Regarding the Weber manifold, is there a source for 58mm Webers? I was under the impression that they had been out of production for years.
The 48mm Webers would be too small for a modern FE with good heads. A quick calculation shows a 44mm venturi (The largest streetable size for 48's) as being optimum for a torque peak at 3,900 RPM on a 427.

Kevin,
I imagine you could always billet them.

I did some checking, and Gene Berg is still making his Weber IDA copies in sizes up to 58mm. You could design the manifold around those.

Kevin,
From what I saw on the website they fit on the 48IDA manifold.

cobrarkc,
Yes, the bolts line up. But to take advantage of the larger venturi size, the manifold needs to be designed with larger cross section runners.

Certainly, NOTHING looks as cool as a set of Webers under the hood.

Bill,
We are still trying to catch up after the Windows XP disaster. We hope to get back on the job next week. We have a new machine arriving as well to do the blocks.
Thanks for your interest!

David,
Its been a couple of weeks since your last post about the new block. How are the trials and tribulations going so far? I'd love to see some dyno numbers when you guys are ready.

The block is making me go bald! My programmer was accepted to a MIT graduate program in engineering and so we have been caught training in a new programmer--actually two this time.
We will get back on the project as soon as possible. We have several people waiting.
