Hinge Cover for a Kirkham?

Does anyone know if this will fit a Kirkham?

Rob,

The ones from CobraRestorers will fit the Kmp, although a little snug.
I've been told, by someone that has done quite a few original restorations, that they had two screws mounting the covers like in the photo below.

The trick, from the same person, is to take a small amount of material off the front edge on the hinge such that it is easy to slide the cover on and off. Then you mount a piece of wood between the rails, yes that what I was told, and that is what the screws will attach to.

Got some plastic ones from CobraRestorers and some glass ones from Shelby...the glass ones fit better, and just slide on tight/no screws needed.

The ones that I got from CobraRestorers are fiberglass and do slide on rather snuggly without screws. They have popped off before and that is why I'm converting over to the screw method. Also, I don't like how snug they fit as it causes the cover to flex a fair amount when installing. It is probably just the combination of the cover and my hinges that make the fit a lttle less than I like.

Best of luck,
Scott
