Hello David,
Can't get enought of this thread. Seems this one, would be a good visible production piece. Quote:

This is a great project and it has been fun to watch this thread and to see its progress.
It has been even better though to be able to go by from time to time and see it first hand. I'm sure they must get really tired of guys like me who want to build their own car coming by all the time. I can tell, as I've gone by their shop, that David and everyone there has been pretty busy with this project. Most of all though it will be sad when this project is done, and there won't be any additional posts here or anything new to see on its progress in the shop. It will be weird to not see it when I go by. I'm sure (or I hope) they'll come up with some new cool project though to keep us all entertained. |

We do have other projects up our sleeve, but they are in a holding pattern right now. David :):):) |
Good Omen!
Yesterday I took the car for a drive without headlights, doors, hood, trunk, or windshield. Our shop is in a rather rural area and as I drove past a farmer he gave me a big thumbs up so I gave it a little bit of gas (I promise it was only a little :) ) I did have brake lights--have to be safe, you know. Anyway, I was going at a rate of speed to put a smile on my face (and the farmer's) when I noticed a police car at the stop sign in the upcoming intersection...waiting... Oh man I was running through my mind how I was going to explain this one! As I pulled up to the intersection, he just waved! Must be a good omen...I hope so! David :):):) |
I would have impounded that thing for at least a week. ;)

That would have been a BAD omen!

I second that one David! No want for excitement in running your own
business. |

Here is some of the fixtures we had to make because as you can imagine many of the angles are not orthogonal. This is a shot of the plate beneath the doors. We are drilling the belly pan holes here.

I'm having a hard time telling the difference between the pictures in posts 779 and 799.
It must be really subtle. ;) |
