Brushed finish and pits? How does the front end hold up to pitting?
I was discussing the brushed finish with someone and they recomended the clear guard for the front of the car. Has anyone tried to istall the clear guard on a brushed car and is it necessary? I'm buying the brushed finish for ease of maintenance (ie no paint chips) I would like to keep it nice

ENT doc did you track the car at all?

It's not a problem. If you get some big gravel hits there will be some minor pits or dings but are easily fixed.

I've driven everywhere since 2003, including tracks in the desert areas...just Scotchguard them out if you feel the need. They barely show...certainly less than with paint or if highly polished.
I wouldn't use that clear guard or anything else to seal it...once it's on, you lose the ability of being able able to Scotchguard off any scratches, etc. or to clean it up. Folks keep wanting to reinvent the wheel on the brushed finish, some claiming impending doom if you don't do something. Just leave it the phuk alone...honest. |
Well I guess that answers that!!! I got a few months before I take delivery (Sept). I'm sure the time will go quick. I got so many other projects it will probably be coming to soon. Oh well.
thanks guys, chris |
