Does the car car come with door panels? I was looking at the sale car on the kirkham website and the inside of the doors is naked. Is this how the car comes

Chris,

The inside of the doors generally get covered with carpet. The carpet that covers the doors are part of the carpet kit that comes with the car. If you choose the carpet install option they will come covered, if not, you get the joy of installing them.

The carpet kit includes pieces to glue into the doors. The original cars never had door panels that I know of.

It's not uncommon that you'll see bare tunnels, trunks, ect. and only have the floor pan carpet. Some folks don't put anything in.

There are aftermarket door panels available, but you need to make sure they're for original cobras as some of the replicas have different sized doors.

Hi Ronbo,
Hate to bump in on this thread but i have a question for ya, Where did you locate them Valve cover breathers? and how do they fit , are they twist on or push on or threaded?

Thanks
Sal

Get them bare...without the carpet installed. Much easier to put in the window winding mechanisms that way.

I used the door panels that were in the car when it arrived - they were made out of aluminum.

:)
