VIN # KC5ENLF0436 California SB100 Registration #: CA966713 6,400 miles Brushed Aluminum Body on Black Leather Interior 5- Speed Manual Offered at $99,990 I'm helping a friend of mine named Scott sell his FIA Kirkham. Unfortunately, he recently passed away from a long battle with cancer. He built this car to fulfill his childhood dreams. Fortunately, he was able to enjoy it for at least 6,000 miles before he died. Hopefully this goes to a very deserving home as a lot of Scott's passion went into building this car. This particular FIA body car was ordered with all the goodies and would cost somewhere between $160,000 to $175,000 to recreate today. Options include: Aluminum Body Finish: Brushed Polished Main Twin Stripes 4” Stainless Steel Frame FIA Wheels by TRIGO Halon Fire Extinguisher Layback windshield 3” from standard position Aluminum Jack Hooks Heat Shield for Foot Boxes, Polished Stainless Steel Billet Aluminum Seat Tracks (adjustable) Nylon Carpet installed Billet Aluminum Pedal Assembly 15” Wood Steering Wheel Leather seats Stainless Steering Shaft and U-Joints Tremec Transmission Mounts Tremec 5 speed Transmission Tremec Shift Lever Kirkham Aluminum Differential w/Mounts Penske Coil-Over Suspension Willwood Brakes Once the roller was delivered, the following drive train was installed: 302 Ford Aluminum Block stroked to a 350: The motor was custom built by Gessford Machine, Inc. out of Nebraska. There are over 7 pages of build receipts for the engine alone! Custom Quad Weber Carb setup and tuned Edelbrock Aluminum Heads Steel crank and rods Competition Cam 7000 RPM Motor Aluminum Flywheel Lightweight Clutch Tremec 5 speed gearbox: TKO 600 with shortened shaft Aluminum Differential: 3:432:1 Kirkham Aluminum Copy of Salisbury Axle Custom ATL Fuel Cell Custom Ceramic coated headers/exhaust system Furthermore, this car has already been registered and is smog exempt in California. With the new SB100 law, it is getting more and more difficult to register your specialty car these days. This car is currently registered in California through December of 2009. Although Paul does not know me at all, I will say from the knowledge that I've gleaned from the Porsche Forum community, that he's extremely well-regarded and sells some of the finest cars in Southern California. Good luck with the sale.

Paul,
I miss Scott. He was a super nice guy. This car was built with all the best parts by some of the best names in the business. If I was going to build an FIA car I would do it exactly like this one. If I recall correctly he had just finished sorting the car before his death. Who ever buys this car will be getting an excellent example of a Kirkham FIA. |
Thanks for the kudos and yes, we will all miss Scott. He was a great example. Yes, Scott did a lot of sorting and tuning on this car and literally finished up some of the final touches shortly before he passed away. I know he was messing with some trick oil coolers that really didn't work and ended up going back to the Kirkham set up. I also know he had a guy named Aggi (I think that is his name) who is here in SoCal and is an absolute guru with funky weber setups and spent quite a bit of time fine tuning this car.
I drove it from Dana Point to Costa Mesa on Saturday and it was simply a joy to drive. I've had the opportunity of driving several of these cars and this one is one of the best. Very driveable with great power. The throttle response it fantastic. Thanks again and if you know the right person for this car, me and Scott's family would be very appreciative. Cheers, Paul |
Just a note, I have another FIA Kirkham that is one serial number off of this one listed on my website as well. It too is a local SoCal car.

Anymore sales attempts must be put in the For Sale forum and pursuant to its guidelines.
Any more hyper claims about how much it takes to build one will be responded to..I don't care who's making the claim. A bit of leeway was provided for this listing...referrals to a sales web site just stepped over the line. |
