Shark Hide on Brushed Kirkham??
Hi Guys,
Just applied a coat of Shark Hide to one of my doors -figured i can get it off if it doesnt work before i do the rest of the car....
Looks great so far, has any one else tried it so far??
Not confident on polished stripes though!

Please keep us updated with how this product worked for you. I was wondering if it would change the appearance of the aluminum and especially on the polished parts.

on brushed/unpolished aluminum you can't see it, it's [retty much invisible. On polished parts it brings out every cut mark and has an odd rainbow hue. I'd definitely used it on anything BUT polished aluminum. |

Thanks for the input. I had read that the first coat on polished parts potentially will leave the rainbow hue but subsequent coats would alleviate this. What arre your experiences, can you comment on this efnfast? |

I tried 3 or 4 coats, kept getting the rainbow. Keep in mind my parts are super shieny polished (see the thread a post or two below this one about my trunk aluminum)
Some people seem to get it, others don't - it may have to do with hummidity and temperature and how it's drying, I'm not certain though.
My biggest complaint though was that every mark would be lifted off the surface and be very glaring (whereas before I could pull the polished panel into direct sunlight and not see a mark). |

You will love the stuff. It has held up great on the aluminum on my boat.
