Last year the Ford Country dealership had a promotional/charity car event on the Saturday the week before the BJ Auction. The participants were given comp ticket to the auction as I recall. Maybe we'll get lucky again this year.

I will be there. I'm towing my Cobra and will be in the parade on Wednesday and at the car show outside the Mandalay on Thurs-Sat (but maybe not all the time all days). I hear there is a show in Henderson that weekend too (Thu-Sat or Sun) and will probably go out there with some friends one of the days.
The car show still has openings so if you want to bring your car PM me and I'll send you the contact info. It was originally stated that it was for Car Clubs, but apparently they allow clubs with only one member (you). The limit is 100 cars per day and you get two day passes.
