Death Valley / Furnace Creek

Anyone up for a drive out to Furnace Creek this weekend?:MECOOL:

Las Vegas to Pahrump = Approximately 65 Mi.
Pahrump to Furnace Creek = Approximately another 60 Mi.
Furnace Creek to Beatty = Approximately 42 Mi. (if we decide to come home that way)
Beatty to Las Vegas = Approximately 117 Mi. ( if we decided to take the Beatty route home).

Total for the Beatty excursion = 280
Total if we retrace our original path = 130

Gas is available in Pahrump, Furnace Creek & Beattyn for those of you that need to stop every 100 miles or less . . . Gotta love my EFI.

Meet at Cars & Coffee for the South end of the valley guys . . . North end guys, meet at the junction of 160 and 159 at the gas station on the way to Pahrump at 9:30 - 10:00?

Weather should be cool in the upper 60's to lower 70's with a slight cloud cover - no predictions of rain.

I spoke to Sal from Cars and Coffee his group is driving out to the Furnace Creek Inn for brunch on Sunday April 3. he's hoping to have 20 cars drive out. Jim and I /w spouces are taking the Cobra's on Sat and staying over this is our warmup for the Santa Barbara run.

Brunch at the Inn is $22 and should be very good. For those trying to save a couple $$ the Cafe at the ranch has a good breakfast/lunch just down the road from the Inn.
