Run to Kingman on Sturday
I just received this email from Jay Steinberg in Kingman, AZ.:
New Hot Rod Cafe at the corner of Andy Devine (Route 66) and Stockton Hill Road in Kingman.I was thinking that we 'd meet in Henderson in the parking lot in front of the CVS Drug store at the corner of Sunset and Whitney Ranch at about 10:00. And then plan on heading out at about 10:30 to Kingman. The weather is forcasted to be about 66 deg. so that should make for a nice run. Post a note here if you can make it. Doug |
I'm working. (Yes Sheldon, I'm really really working.)
|
Sorry your working James. Maybe next time.
Sean Mahoney emailed me and he and his wife are comming. I told Irwin Tuesday night so hopefully he's calling the guys on his list. See whoever makes it on Saturday morning. |
I think I might be able to go! No kids this weekend!
I have no registration- so you guys will have to bail me out of jail if I get caught.:D Kenny |

Saturday to Kingman
Doug,
Sounds like a great idea. I'll try to make it to the CVS by 10:30, gotta go to the DMV when it opens at 8:00 for the Cobras' annual checkup (read: get this years SMOG EXEMPT sticker). Pete |
I'm in, solo.
See you guys tomorrow morning! NO RAIN! NO RAIN!
|
Pete, sorry we missed you. We hung arround untill 10:45 before we headed out. We ended up with 4 Cobras on the road to Kingman and had a ball. The weather was mostly good to us. We had a few drops hit the windshield on the way home and the temps droped a bit but it was a great trip.

Doug,
I sure tried to be there . . . DMV just gets more and more stupid every year. I got stuck with a guy who couldn't even find my records, even though I had a "renewal slip" in my hand. Go figure. He had to create a whole new one from scratch. Bottom line here is, I got my "Exempt" sticker once again. No worries till next year. Keep me posted and I'll keep checkin' the VegasCobras' section. Anyone planning to do the Huntinton Beach thing this year? I'm probably going to drive down this year, not trailer my car. More fun that way and no hassles lookin' for trailer parking. Maybe a caravan early Saturday morning if everyone isn't going the night before. Once again, sorry i missed the trip, i really wanted to go . . . Pete |
Pete,
First of all, I'm totally confused about what's going on with Knott's/HB this year and I think there are an lot of other guys in the same boat. I'm not going to try to explain it. Here's a link to the thread on the Factory Five forum that has everyone guessing: http://www.ffcobra.com/ubb/ultimateb...00584/p/1.html Maybe you can figure out whats going on. I'm not sure that I'm even going now. Normaly I'd have my hotel reservtions by now but with all the confusion, I'm not making any plans untill something concrete is decided. You may want to start another thread to see what other guys in Vegas are planning on. Doug Also there is a group of guys planning a cruise day on Friday. It sounds like a lot of fun. You can find that link at: http://www.ffcobra.com/ubb/ultimateb.../t/000575.html |
For some pics of the Kingman run check out this thread on the FFR Forum: http://www.ffcobra.com/ubb/ultimateb.../t/000607.html
