Saturday Morning

Erwin is gathering the troops for a trip to Mount Charleston Saturday morning. The weather ought to be nice up there, it's getting HOT down on the Desert floor . . . His instructions to me were: "Going north on the 95, exit on Durango and go right to the Albertsons shopping center. There is a StarBucks right behind the Albertsons." Everyone should be there by 10:00, there are presently 6 Cobras going. Should be a great day for the mountain curves and scenery . . .:MECOOL: Pete |

Just a heads-up, there will be some folks from out of town (Hawai and England to be exact) that would like ot meet up with some Cobra guys while the're in town so I sent them emails about this weekend's activities. So be looking for them. I passed along the links to this post and the one on the FFR forum. hopefully they will make a post to let us know their comming. Doug |

re vegas visit
hi Doug/guys,Dave from england, just waiting in Gatwick airport for our flight, I cant get on to my email at present, we are staying in the Monte Carlo 06-13 June, if I can hook up with anyone would love to buy you a beer, will log on and check my email once we get to the hotel. regards Dave Keane

If your available Saturday, you could join us. I'm sure we can find some empty seats in some Cobras for you. If not we'll see if we can get together some evening during your stay. We had a cold front blow in yesterday and the temps will be down in the mid 90's for Saturday so it should be a great day for a run. I'll be in town so I'll be there. Doug |

Office: 873-5911; Cell 524-6995 I'm not sure if I'll have an empty seat in mine. My daughters fiancé will probally be riding with me. But I'm sure we can find a seat somewhere. How about it guys. Anyone have an empty seat this Saturday? Do you have a rental? If someone can pick you up at your hotel that's great but if not you may need to meet us at the meeting point for the cruise. Let us know! |

I've just heard from another visitor that would like to join us on the cruise.
The previous guy is Dave Keane from England and drives a DAX Cobra replica. Also wanting to join us is Eric Mahalo from Hawaii, also a Cobra owner but I'm not sure the make (possible a FFR). So now we are in need of 2 spare seats for our visitors. Please post here if you can help! |

Hi Doug, I haven't got a rental, but if you give me the details and timings for the meet point, I can jump a cab, dependant on the availability of seats, I could possibly tie up with Eric and share a cab to the meet point, either way I will give you a call today to speak to you, I appreciate you guys accommodating us. Re Vegas Trip
Hi Guys, well arrived back in (rainy) UK at 1500 UK time(Thurs), just want to publicly thank you all for making me so welcome this week, Scott appreciate the ride out to Mt charleston in your car, I enjoyed the company over lunch/breakfast and it was good to see some of your (excellent) cars. Also would like to specially thank Kevin for picking me up Mon and taking me over the Shelby place, that was awesome and then to go and chat to Tom at the garage and see some more Cobras was great, Kevin then went out of his way to help me track down a magazine I had promised a friend, all in all a great week, I will keep you updated with my Dax build, and if anyone gets to the UK and is in my neck of the woods let me know, I will no doubt be back to Vegas in the not too distant future so will hopefully meet with you again.
