Vegas Dyno Day - April 19th
April 19th: Dyno day at the Speedway at Nevarez Racing Products. Gil Nevarez specializes in dyno tuning and fuel injection services and is also a wizard at custom turbo installations. Cost of 2 consecutive runs on the dyno is $50.00. You'll receive printouts showing HP, Torque and Air/Fuel ratios for each pull. And if you would like some custom tuning work, Gil will arrange that for you.
We will also spend some time just across the street at Tom's Motorsports. Tom is the area "expert" on Cobras and runs a couple of Shelby Cobra Spec Racers. Last time I was there he had at least 15 Cobras in the shop - an amazing sight! We'll meet at 8:00 am at the Iron Skillet at the Speedway then go to NRP. Gil will give us an overview about the dyno and dyno tuning. When not on the dyno, Tom will have his shop open for a tour along with films and shop talk. Important: If you plan to have your car dyno'ed on the 19th, please email me (dougrosier@cox.net). I'll put together a schedule that will be handed out at breakfast. That way you'll know when your run is scheduled and when and how much time you can spend at Tom's. And it would be helpful if Gil had an idea so that he can plan for this event. If you don't care to have your car dyno'ed you are welcome to see the dyno work in action and to spend time with Gil and Tom. DougR |
Tom has a wealth of information and is very willing to share. Come with questions. Also he has an extensive library of pictures and videos he will be showing. Last week he showed me one that had two cameras. One in the cockpit facing front and one from under the car facing the rear wheels to see how much the tires flexed in the turns. A very interesting video.
See you on the 19th! Scott |
For those of you who have ask, Yes the dyno guys take credit cards.

Well. Isn't that what you guys have been doing anyway:confused:??!? And besides, you'll probably need to add at least 40% to get something you would post!:D:D:D
Who all is going to dyno? |
I would like to thank Tom and Gil for opening their businesses to us Saturday. Everyone seemed to have a great day. Too bad for those that missed it. Maybe we can do it again next year!!

Well? Numbers?
Who ran their cars and how did they do? Go ahead and add 40% (just show your work for full credit). |
