Steak and Beer

Hi Guy's,

I will be arriving late on Wednesday to the airport and was wondering where to get the BEST STEAK AND BEER when I get there???

I will be sick of plane food (21 hours of it ot be exact) so it will have to be good.

I prefer eye fillet if that helps....:):)

Which airport, Stiffy?
Your father-in-law-to-be I believe has some contacts in the food industry.

I didn't think Todd was GAY **)**)

Godzilla,

I am staying at the Days Inn (not the one on Traube Rd) from Thursday and I hope from Wednesday when I arrive. The Motel hasn't returned my request.

stiffy 05-29-2008 03:35 AM

Think about getting closer to the action from Thursday on.... the hotels are listed on London Cobra Show - The Ohio Cobra Club and you will want to be where the action is especially if you are without ground transportation, The evening parking lot parties are a must attend to get the full flavor of the event, and if you are really Aussie, I know you will want to drink your fair share, so you should be in stumbling distance of your hotel. I think Americas Best Value Inn still has some rooms, not the best, but it's a bed and hot shower, and it's within 50 yards of all of the action
Now regarding your steak
there are several mentioned by one of the locals
Hyde Park Restaurants - several locations
Mitchells Steaks
Morton;s of Chicago
Hope this helps, and if you need anything else, let us know
Best
Kumpie

Which one....

GODZILLA,

How far is the Fairgrounds DAYS INN from the action?

Which AMERICA'S BEST VALUE INN should I look at?
There are a few in Columbus.

Stiffy,

Mitchell's Steakhouse - several locations, but DOWNTOWN is the best. Take a cab if you don't get a rental car - the place is definitely worth it. Great steaks and atmosphere.

Like Kumpie said, try to get closer to the hotels listed. I'd be willing to bet that there may a few openings due to last minute cancellations.

The Hotels are listed on the website, there are other hotels closer than the fairground which in traffic is at least a half hour drive away, tell your travel agent to access the website and find a hotel closer.
You are coming a long way and do not want to miss the action by being in the wrong location

Absolutely we need to indoctrinate our brothers from down under. For our Aussie friends.... if you want to return with brain cells intact... if you receive and offer to join a group for the evening and there are guys with names like Dana, Dave, Kevin and Rick, TURN AND RUN:MECOOL:

ROUSHAC 06-06-2008 04:51 PM

I also hear that Bob Sime is bringing some more of the libation that he freely allowed others to sample last year. I forget what it was called after sampling some. Oh yeah, now I remember - hi-test kerosene. It's smoothness reminded me of the old Red Skelton sketch about Guzzlers Gin. :JEKYLHYDE
