ididit steering column

When driving the LS for the first time last week it struck me how far the steering column protrudes through the dash. It felt like driving an upright hot rod, like a Model T.

Each LS picture I see in the gallery looks similar. The distance from the dash to the steering wheel looks to be large. Has anyone used a steering colum other than the ididit column in an LS?

Maybe its just me?!

Paul, You can use any steering column you want on a Lonestar, the ididit column is just the column that is supplied by Lonestar. But, the Lonestar's cockpit is larger than most replica's and the ididit seems to work best. I thought I saw an ad from ididit with som kind of mod that will shorten the column. Maybe you could check into that.
