I heard this morning on the news where NJ turned away help from utility crews from Al. because they were not union.

Unions,,, some good , most bad. They keep control so that the union bosses get fat. The dock workers/longshoremen in Oakland are much the same.

LOTS OF DAMAGE. Car is safe and secure. Just got power back yesterday. Everyone safe but now this gas shortage has people going nuts. Fights, etc.
People need to relax about the gas. It will come.

Another challenge, finding gas

Gas stations scramble in Sandy's aftermath | 7online.com

I still remember the gas lines in Northern CT after the 1973 ice storm, finding a station open, long lines, limited gallons, odd/even fill days etc. While in line waiting to get to the gas pumps, hoping the station did not put the " Last Car For Gas " on the car just in front of you.

I hope you guys and gals are okay over there. You are in our thoughts. The level of destruction is unbelievable, judging by the news footage we have seen in the UK.

Sandy Damage

From Modesto and I am sure all the rest of the "sane" folks from California. Hope all loved ones are safe and your rides are safe. There will be some who will panic but supplies will arrive and life will return to "normal". Best of luck and get all of your FEMA money you can, Remember this administration gave a half of a billion of your money to SOLYNDRA.

Family safe, kids had a great view of the bay meeting the ocean on the front lawn. no power. Saw one cobra a loss in long beach ( silver black stripe) not sure who owns it. Mine safe. Hardest problem by us is no fuel and very little info from the outside. No gov info, to power info, cell service vert sporadic. Marshal law after 8pm to keep riffraff under control. Hope others have faired well and are safe.
