Yup, BB 460. Without the 3 qt. Accusump it may have come in lighter, and maybe even slightly lighter with 15" wheels/tyres instead of the 17's. Maybe this week I'll weigh the car on corner scales. I was waiting to resolve the spring rate problem before doing that.

I will finally get a chance to get down to Nick's this Sat, and the weather actually looks like it will cooperate for a change. What time do you guys start getting there? Also, where is HRE. Freeport? Can't wait!!!
|
We usually Get to Classic Concepts about 8:30am. HRE is in Freeport on Albany ave I think.

H.R.E. open?
Does anyone know if H.R.E. is open this Saturday?
|
Well there goes the weather again for Sat!! Arghhhhh!! Anyway, anything going on for Port Jeff for either Sun or Mon? According to my inaccuarte forecast, it is suppose to get nicer later in the day today and be nice the rest of the holiday weekend.
Cobred, your in Centereach right? If you plan on going down to Nick's one of these Sat's and the weather cooperates, I'd be happy to pick you up. Just let me know. Thanks |
"The Shack" in Centerport?
We're watching the Monaco F1 races tomorrow through German green bottles at a friend's garage in Sea Cliff :D but I'd be up for a soft shell crab sandwich dinner at the Shack and Clambar roadside on 25A around Centerport area. 6PM is usually not too crowded with the Harley guys.

PM Sun is NG for me. I have another BBQ with kids and the Mrs, but I am taking the little lady out in the late AM instead.
Thanks and happy motoring. |
Sunday June 11
Immediately after the F1 race broadcast at 7:30, I'm planning on heading out to Bayard Cutting Arboretum (I have to Google and get directions) for British car show sponsored by the LI MG Club. Maybe lunch somewhere...
Anybody interested? |

Sunday morning after the beach run several guy's are heading out to McCarvelle Ford in Centerreach for annual Ford show, didn't know about the show at the Arboretum, but was there two years ago and it was pretty good. If for some reason I don't go to McCarvelle I show up at the Arboretum Tony |
There's also a pretty big "all makes" show at Flushing Meadow Park. 34 classes and trophies. I dunno about Queens, though. No offense but there could be a lot of "tuner" cars.
Jane expressed interest in the Captree run. As this is a rare occurence, I think I'll see you guys at the beach. Is it at the same place or have they moved to somewhere with no fee? |
Tony, sorry I missed you at McCarville's today. I stopped in for like 30 minutes and met John ('My 401k'). All the cars looked great and the weather was to die for!! There were only 3 Cobra's there when I was there, not sure what time the show was till and if more showed up later. I just wished I had my camera with me. My daughers loved that fake snake on the seat of the blue cobra. John's performance figures are unbeleivable with that Paxton (sp). Maybe next week I can get a demo.

Ray ...I got to the beach late (11am) and it was just a few guy's left. There over by the OBI parking lot for now. It seems that since the park started charging admission fee the entire sunday morning get together shifted to OBI. By the looks of the construction at the OBI parking lot that will close soon !!!.
Joe..Your correct it was a great day for a drive, my sunburn will attest to that. It was a nice show, while myself, John and Walter were parked in the show Compy, Jimmmy and John's cobra's were parked across the street. Not to forget Vito's Shelby Mustang. Once again I forgot my camera so no pic's again. I know theres another ford show in Sayville in another month or so, I'll have to check the date. See ya at Nick's Tony |
June 13, Tuesday Cruise Night, Oyster Bay
Hi Tony,
It was pretty cramped parking at OBI. I got there at 9:30 and Steve B was there with the Vette he's selling. I think he's looking to get another SPF (the Titanium one with the Roush 427 at Nick's). I didn't know where McCarville's was so I went to the Arboretum. That's a nice place. Tomorrow, Tuesday, I believe the Oyster Bay weekly cruise night is on on Audrey Ave. at 6PM. I think I'll go if it doesn't rain and then have dinner at one of the places on Main or Audrey. Ray |
Can aynone advise if we came in to Oyster Bay from the east end, say from 25-A would it be best to take Oyster Bay Cove into Main St or should we stay west and take Rte 106 for simplicity. I always get lost in that area !
|
Jim, 25A is not a problem, I think you run right into Main.
I just got called last night to a business dinner tonight in the city with a couple from China. Bummer. Jane and I will have to bag out. Enjoy. |
Oyster bay
Take 25A to 106 (Rothmans on corner) make a right and follow right into Oyster Bay.

Bagel run Sunday, June 18?
Anybody interested in great bagels and coffee Sunday AM around 8:30AM at Goldberg's in Southampton? Right across the Hess station, after Southampton College on the North side of CR39. It's very soon after the highway turns into a 2 laner, next to the OTB. Bagels and coffee on me.
