Labor Day Run?

Hi guys,

I was thinking of a nice east end ramble one day during the labor day weekend. Western LI Cobras could meet at the LIE exit 51 rest stop, then everybody meet at the Mattituck car museum at the Mattituck airport (I'll have to make prior arrangements with the owner). Then we can take the ferry to Shelter Island and have lunch at the Ram's Head Inn (again reservations would be required). Then take the ferry again to Sag Harbor, short stop at the old Bridghampton racetrack for a photo op, then home westbound on 27W Sunrise or LIE to points west. A 10 AM target at Mattituck should get us all home by 3 PM. Being a big holiday weekend, I don't know how difficult it would be to get something setup at the Ram's Head Inn but it may be worth a shot. :D

Hi Ray,
its sounds like a great trip but it may be hard to pull off on the holiday weekend. i already have plans to be away that weekend but i wish you luck with run. thanks for coming to the restaurant last night, it was nice to see you and your wife.

Maybe we can do something sooner. I missed the last cruise, so personally I would not mind a duplicate of that run, but that's me.

True, true. Hate that. Oh BTW, isn't that Vintage Race weekend at Lime Rock? I may have to show up there instead!:D

Maybe week after?

Yeah, and I got notification about Lime Rock for that weekend too.

It was nice at the Classic Car Cafe and meeting the girls too! I was a little embarassed to show up with the soft top up, but a special request from the missus can't be ignored. A beautiful evening and a nice drive, nonetheless.:) They weren't kidding when they say don't go more than 70-75 with the soft top. A whole lot of shaki'n goin' on.

OK, consider this Run rescheduled...Lime Rock is far more interesting.

We can do the Shelter Rock run towards mid-September.
