SK Speed on Pinks

SK Speed sponsored a car for Pinks which will be aired 9-10pm Weds Sept 27.
A friend of mine who is a long time SK customer told me they won a car running one of their customer's Mustangs against another competitor.

Not the best show since the SC'd car was not tuned at all but the SK Speed guy's TT Mustang did go like the dickens !

I just watched it. I hoped the supercharged car would win. The guy driving the winning car was just too weird.

There was a thread on another forum and the poster went to watch the filming at a local drag strip. He said that it was all scripted and when the camera's weren't rolling, everyone was having a good time. At the end of the race, nobody lost their car. They were filmed loading the loser's car but that was the end of it. I hear the winner gets $500 but no car. Hollywood:rolleyes:

I also wanted to see the SC'd car get it together and win because I agree the other guy was a nut.

I always wonder just how much of the show is scripted because the negotiations are often predictable. Regardless, I watch it each week because it's better than a sitcom and it is a fun show !

I know people who've participated on the show, and I don't believe it's anything like that. You DO lose your car. But they have a clause in the contract where you can buy your car back from the winner if he agrees and would rather have the money than the car. I know one person who said it was a 10k buy back and I heard of another one at 5k. I think the buy back is based on the value of the car.
