Massapequa

First night for Massapequa car show put on by Town of Oyster Bay.
Not a bad turn out for the first of the season and it kept building well past 9:00- 50's band, lots of people!

Where was this? Is it weekly?

Cobrabill 07-13-2007 10:11 PM

Nick-is the Roller Skating rink still there?

Nickpz1 07-15-2007 08:22 PM

It’s at the Massapequa LIRR station on Sunrise Hwy & Broadway just (east of Rt 107)
Town of Oyster Bay has been advertising it on TV - bring a can of food to get in - the town is collecting for the food pantry.
USA Skate is/was on Rt 107 north of Jerusalem Ave – can’t say if it’s still open
It would be a long ride from Tucson!
I lived in Phoenix for a winter, 1968, nice country – gets a little warm this time of year!

Nick- i grew up in Ct. and worked at the USA in Plainville. We took a road trip to the Massapequa rink to see Foghat play there at a private party(circa 1978).I'd give anything to have those days back again.
