Local fabricator needed

I have a small block in my Contemporary that I'd like to replace with a FE. I need to cut the small block mounts out of the car, and have someone fabricate and weld the new FE mounts into the car. Of course they will need to locate the proper mounting position of the engine in the car prior to welding the mounts on to the frame rails. Does anyone know of someone on Long Island who can do this sort of work?

I don't believe the frame would need to change for that.

This is really confusing. I always thought that both engines will fit on the same mounts. Most who I ask tel me that I need to change the mounts. Does anyone know for certain what the answer is, or who I can call to get a definitive answer?

In the meantime, if anyone from Long Island knows of a local guy who can do the work assuming it needs to be done please let me know.

You can give Nick a call at Classic Concepts.
He's in Babylon. Many Cobras in his shop.
