Ok, surgery went well although it was supposed to be same day and they ended up keeping her overnight without telling us "WHY":eek::eek: , which was a little unnerving. She is home resting now and I am at her beck and call......LOL.....at least for a week or so :LOL: They took a chunk out of her leg about the size of a football shaped hockey puck and they also removed two lymph nodes, which they sent for testing :confused::confused:

Think only positive thoughts, reflect on all the good things in your life and how fortunate we all are to be here in America, a safe and good place. God will watch over you both and the outcome will be just fine.

Bill

Earl,

Here is wishing you and your wife all the best and may the results all come back good. You have been in my prayers and will continue to be so. So far all the news is great.

You came to the right place Earl. These guys don't ask for much, just the important stuff. Sometimes I think they earn more pull.

Perhaps it's a gift in disguise to make what life we have even more beautiful. God bless you and the missus.

Wes

Well, we went and had the drainage tube removed yesterday and they told us that the Melanoma was not as deep as they thought, which is a GOOD thing and that the Lymphnoads removed were clean, which is another GOOD thing.....Praise the lord and Amen

Great news. Sounds to me that it's time to celebrate with a nice dinner somewhere.

EarlsflyinCobra 11-04-2009 12:24 PM

Yep, as soon as I can get her to leave the house for other than a doctors appointment:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

EarlsflyinCobra 11-06-2009 06:39 PM

Well, we went today and had bandages removed.....she is doing better now as she was really dreading todays appointment.....she would not look at the leg, she asked me what it looked like.....I told her, too bad she's not a BEACH go'er as she could tell everyone she got a chunk bit out of her leg by a Great White Shark:JEKYLHYDE:D:D:D

EarlsflyinCobra 01-22-2010 03:46 PM

Wellllllllllllllllll, we went to the Doctor today and they found a mole on Tanya's chest, with a Halo around it, which, apparently is not a "good" thing.... ....they cut it off and sent it out for a biopsy..... ....."WHY" do they always do these things on FRIDAY so you have to STRESS all weekend long about it :eek:So, again, PLEASE remember us in your prayers!!!!!

Joe Wicked 01-22-2010 03:54 PM

You got the last one and you will get this one too. Keep at it and keep your head up. My sister had Acute Hodgkin's Lymphoma Lung Cancer. Never smoked a day in her life and just thought she had a bad cold that would not go away. She was not diagnosed until she was Stage 2 and the doctor told her that only a very few survive past 1 year from this point, and she should just go home and get her life in order. 4 years later and 3 of those cancer free she lives a good life running her small corner grocery store and helping out the neighborhood as she can. She told the doctor that she is not going to die and she will find a doctor that will treat her. She was right on both counts. Attitude as a lot to do with it.

rustyBob 01-22-2010 06:53 PM

When the doctor told my wife she had cancer you could see the life run out of her face.
I told her we where not going to let this distroy her life..........5 years cancer free and
shes loveing life like never before........
