Yeah, they ARE everywhere! They've been trying to take over government for years and impose their cultist way of life on those of us who have no interest in it.
I really wish all those Christian political types would just leave the rest of us alone.

Steve

At least the Christians don't bomb you, or behead you, or stone you if they disagree with you politically.

McVeigh was a Christian.

Point well made VRM. History shows a LOT of war and social problems arising from religious zealots, no matter what the faith. Indeed, they are everywhere. But those zealots typically are a small fraction of the larger body of believers.

Steve it figures you and Ernie would climb on the Bull**** wagon. Here's the truth in two very public citations. You guys need to put down the Kool Aid.

In an article by United Kingdom’s “The Guardian” about McVeigh’s execution, we find this reference:

“In his letter, McVeigh said he was an agnostic but that he would "improvise, adapt and overcome", if it turned out there was an afterlife. "If I'm going to hell," he wrote, "I'm gonna have a lot of company." His body is to be cremated and his ashes scattered in a secret location.”(SEE NOTE 5)

Note the above that McVeigh “said he was an agnostic” but not only that, but that he was defiant about hell itself and remain unrepentant. Then we also find the same statement that he was an agnostic admitted by Lou Michel during a cyber interview with CNN. Lou Michel spent hours interviewing McVeigh in writing a book titled, “American Terrorist: Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City Bombing”. Michel’s words are enlightening:

Lou Michel: McVeigh is agnostic. He doesn't believe in God, but he won't rule out the possibility. I asked him, ‘What if there is a heaven and hell?’

He said that once he crosses over the line from life to death, if there is something on the other side, he will -- and this is using his military jargon – ‘adapt, improvise, and overcome.’ Death to him is all part of the adventure.”(SEE NOTE 6)

Bernie,
There are plenty of agnostic Christians. Do you have any idea what agnostic means? Look it up before reading further.

As for McVeigh (I would rather quote McVeigh himself rather than just someone who interviewed him that might not know what agnostic means either)...in an interview with Time he said:

"I was raised Catholic. I was confirmed Catholic (received the sacrament of confirmation). Through my military years, I sort of lost touch with the religion. I never really picked it up, however I do maintain core beliefs."

TIME: Do you believe in God?

McVeigh answered: "I do believe in a God, yes. But that's as far as I want to discuss. If I get too detailed on some things that are personal like that, it gives people an easier way alienate themselves from me and that's all they are looking for now."

Well, not anymore for the most part. (not to forget burning at the stake, quartering, disembowelment)

Christians do tend to be better marksmen than their Islamic counterparts.;)

My my Steve, still trying to put people down as not being as smart as you are. Gee I even knew what a nihilist was (it was you). And I imagine I have every bit as much if not more education than you do. Wheeeee, I even work on networks every once in awhile.

The London Time article was based on what he wrote down. I'd rather believe that than just what he spoke. (And that's about as dumbassed a statement as the ones you made.)

Thanks

Good to see the powers that be are watching this.... BS Dribble!!!

Ronbo 10-09-2009 03:06 PM

I was going to recant my statement about christian bombing, but then I remembered the holy hand grenade in the documentary "Quest for the Holy Grail".

The apologists and such can yuk it up all they want; I did not see a Christian indicted for planning to blow up a bank building in downtown Dallas, or flying planes into the Trade Center.. I don't see Christians packing a vest full of explosives and walking into cafes or movie theaters, or sawing peoples heads off, either. Keep laughing until it really hits home (God forbid)...than maybe we will all separate the fly shi* from the pepper a little easier.
