The way it should be sung
No pop stars, no vocal show offs, just the Star Spangled Banner, the cadets, and the US Army Herald Trumpet Corps. Turn up the volume!

Thanks for posting this. I needed a bump today after attending a funeral
service for a long time friend who just headed on out. This did it. |
I remember watching this back when it happened. We were at a friends house making all kinds of noise and drinks - it got real quiet during the anthem (except that my friends wife kept nudging up the loudness).
When it was done we all knew that our team just won - not because we were New Englanders and they were the local team, but because that was the only possible outcome after that anthem. We all had the same thoughts back in 2002; that the Patriots would win because they seemed a bit more like Americas team rather than just our local one. Thanks, that was very worth the trip down memory lane. Steve |
:)
Great. Thanks for posting it. Ron |
Holy smokes. Got all watered up on that one. Speechless.

The Way it should be sung
It's nearly five years since we returned to South Africa, but the clip brought tears to my eyes - and I mean TEARS. I am so happy that I was able to share the wonderful patriotism of the general American people for half a decade. And I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to share your land with you. I was an American for a while -and proud of it.
