So, basically, their answer to Climate-Gate is to get rich countries to spend even MORE money to provide them with data which will then be used to prove they were correct about AGW!! And what you want to bet that none of us who PAY for this data (you & me) will have any access to it? They have no budget. They have no money. But the they get together with each other at grand conferences and discuss grand plans all with the understanding we will pay for it. This is like your office mate talking on the phone to his wife about how they are going to have a huge party at your house, with you footing the entire bill. And you have no choice. Mike |
Without getting into whether or not there is global warmer, or what is the cause, I have to laugh at the leaders and delegates from all of these nations flying into Copenhagan in their private aircraft. What a total waste of time, energy, and effort. It is just my opinion, but I think that most government sponsored conventions and meetings are a waste of time and money. Nothing ever seems to come out of these meetings except some photos and a well meaning statement that usually leads to another meeting.

Wayne, You forget all of the travel and sight seeing at taxpayers expense. That is the main reason for most of these meetings. Then they can all adjourn along with many of their wealthy friends to the French Rivera for a few days to unwind from the stress of having to pretend to be talking seriously about something. Ron |
A backdoor way to redistribute wealth...the rich countries pay up, the poor countries take in. Amazing how fast China jumped on the bandwagon to demand that the US drastically reduce greenhouse gasses! Not like they have any economic interest in seeing US industry strangled while they (the worlds LARGEST polluter measured by lb. output per unit manufactured) refuse to clean up their own house! :mad:
