Any Ebay gurus out there?
An item sold on Ebay about 5 weeks ago, and I want to track down the buyer and make him an offer he can't refuse. It's disappeared off the "Completed Listing" search results, and I stupidly deleted the item from my watch list.
Is there a site that has a cache of ebay pages that can be searched? I have no idea why there would be, but everything else on the internet seems to have a mirror site... Thanks for any help! |
Did you look in your browsers history? My guess is unless you have changed the setting, it probably goes back a few months.
The only other alternative is if you have the item number sitting around and can search by that. The listing will still come up. I have not found any way to search for expired items. They used to stay on ebay for 90 days after the auction ended, but I think they have changed that to 60 days now. |
If you sign in and go to advanced search, you will see a check box "completed listings".
I've had some trouble with it in the past not going back too far, and I also don't think it is consistent. Good luck |
Tried the "Completed" already - too old.
joyridin' - What are the chances of me clearing out my browser history last week for the first time ever?!?!? I've even gone back through my emails just in case the item showed in a "Watched Items" summary, but I've deleted them too (and also deleted the Trash folder)... I can't really ask Ebay, as they probably won't be inclined to help someone who wishes to make unsolicited contact with a buyer/seller with a view to completing a transaction outside of Ebay...! I think I'm out of options. |
Doesn't ebay have a "wanted to buy" section?
