Though it is hard I agree that the bodies must be buried as quickly as possible. If they let disease get started there with the mess they have, no telling how many that survived may die from that. Food a person can go without for a while but water and shelter are the first two things they taught me in survival training. Of course that didn't include being in a situation lie this.

They just reported aid workers are being shot at by looters, and that the 82nd Airborne is on the way. I wonder what the ROE's will be? They need to take care of the shooters so the people can be helped.

Another sad thing is the FBI has issued a warning about scammers already. They have started collecting money supposedly for relief and keeping it. How can anyone be so low as to steal and harm people trying to help in a situation like this. As for the looters, I have always thought they should be shot on sight no matter where they are.

Apparently the primary objective of the UN force there was to act as the "police". That offer's a clue as to how lawless the land could be BEFORE the quake! It sound's like the UN force has been largely ineffective due to deaths and HQ damage since the quake. It's going to get realy ugly on the law and order end of things, literally, "gang rule".
