We can ignore the fact that men are physically and mentally better suited to fighting than women all we want, but the idea that our armed forces are as good as ever is a lie. If we had to face an army like WWII Germany today we'd get our azzes handed to us.

I do not know if we will get our azzes handed to us, but it would, without a doubt in my opinion, last several more years than it did. We would have had more setbacks and more defeats.

Tommy,
The problem I have with the lower standard is now you have a soldier who no matter how willing is not ready to carry her load in a fight. Another soldier has to help her. I think Women have a place in combat, but the standard should be the same. That point is clear to special forces who do not lower the standard because it will mean unnecessary deaths. I don't have all the solutions and do not pretend to, and that is why I am not arguing they should not be let in, but that the methods we use are flawed.
While I was in I saw a shift from a strong military to a more PC military and that is a mistake.
