Chavez and Obama
Thought that title might draw the conservatives like flies to a cow pattie. :)
Here's the deal. The "people" HATE Chavez in increasing numbers. Could be a mass revolt, "throw the bum out", but I wouldn't count it. The problem? There is no consensus on WHO to replace him with! WHO they go to run against him? Nada, zip, nobody, there stuck with the guy. ...reminds me of the Obama delima, OK, the people are angry, their upset, there's talk of "throw the bum out." One question: WHO you gonna replace him with??? I think were stuck... :) :) |
Ex, I'll admit I fell for the title. Good question for either camp to ponder. I'm still wishing Gen. Colin Powell would give it a shot. He has the support of Republicans, I believe the Democrates could work with him and his life experience would be refreshing. I'm biased because he's the only person both my father and I both served under, and we both said the same things about his leadership.

I also wish that Powell had ran but he doesn't want anything to do with politics right now. I believe he would be a good president.

Unfortunately that is who we need. Someone who doesn't want anything to do with politics. There is no Demo this Repub that. Just do the job and forget the politics. Unfortunately the nature of the beast is you have to be interested in politics to run for the job.

I tried to find the comment Powell made in an interview some years ago where he said that citizens should not have the right to own firearms , but couldn`t . That really surprised me and turned me off on him . If this is what he believes , then what other little surprises does he have in store ?

Seem's strange they can't find anyone to run against Chavez. Man, are the other choices ALL that bad? That is one screwed up country, uh, Venezuela not the USA. :)

We can solve our problem by sending O'Bama to Venezuela to replace Chavez!
They may be a little pissed off at first but he can give a few speeches and have them eating out of his hand (for a while) in no time! |
