Up next in the attention derby: a bright pink garbage truck? %/

I do.

I'm so ugly and anti social it's the only way anyone will talk to me.:o

John,

Actually a stack of $100 dollar bills about 10" high will get you some attention also. And especially if you wave them while driving your Cobra slowly through a lot of people.

Ron

Probably kind of risky to do that in your neighborhood from the way you described it....

Doug,

Around here people are killed for just walking in the wrong place if you happen to be near one of their dope houses or gardens. Crap, waving a $1 dollar bill is enough to bring out a few of them.

But to be honest in the past year since several of the neighbors have gotten permits and started carrying guns, the worst of the dopers have moved to other locations, still to close, but they were getting afraid to do much here on the town streets. They get those of one or two person camping trailers for almost nothing then tow them into one of the canyons and hide them and live there to make their Meth and grow their marijuana. Now they are warning the hikers and others that like to sight see around the old mines to stay out of there as they dopers are shooting at anyone that comes into those areas. We have even had a couple of law enforcement people shot, but not seriously as they shoot and run. But at least they are now farther away that just two houses from me.

Ron :(

Well at least that sounds like progress for your neighborhood. Glad to hear it.

Ron61 02-07-2010 01:34 PM

:)

Believe me it is. You wouldn't recognize it from a year or so ago. We still have one or two problem houses in the block, but for the most part they now stay to themselves and try to not draw any attention. The police are always over there and they are all on probation for various things.

Ron ;)

Ron, where is John Wayne when you need him? Maybe old Clint could come to town and do the "Dirty Harry thing".

Ron61 02-08-2010 07:31 AM

Bill, now that would be nice. Many of the really mean ones are dead now and a lot of what is done around here is by illegals from Mexico, so they try to stay low key to avoid detection. Three of the fools burned in last Summers Fires because they stayed in the canyon and tried to protect their marijuana gardens.

Maybe some good old boys from AZ, (hardcore NASCAR lovin , beer drinkin, gun loving- rednecks) could plan a crop erradication program. Come into town and clean out the bad guys, only problem they would take the plants back to AZ for their use.
Bad idea.
