Car hunting - your help requested
I am on the hunt for one of two cars, for more or less immediate purchase when I find the right one.
First candidate is a BMW 3.0 CS / CSi / maybe a CSL, 1973-75. Second is a Mercedes 450 SLC, maybe 1975-6. A 5.0 would be fantastic. I am looking for one of either that is a dream car - not concours, necessarily, but near show quality. Low miles, mint condition (original or restored), some good options and mods okay. A California or southwest car (out of the rust belt and harsh weather) is preferred; one within a few hundred miles of Northern California would be best of all. I know all the usual places to find cars, but I thought I'd throw this out to the community in case someone knows of a Bimmer mechanic selling his mother's immaculately maintained CS. Ad(thanks)vance. |
