911 Operator Saves His Child

I guess this fella was in training to be a 911 operator. What I heard last night is that he could not remember his own address. He takes a call from of all people his wife.

Ralphy,

That is something and goes along with something that happened several years ago out here. An ambulance and medical team were called to a home because the son was choking and they couldn't get there because there was road construction going on. They had the road cut into. When one of the bulldozer operators hears the Foreman tell them there was no way for them to get through he told them to follow him and he plowed a road through some trees and brush so they could get to the home. After it was over and they had returned to the hospital with the boy, who lived because of the operators quick thinking, they called him at the job to thank him and it turned out the boy was his son and he never knew it until they called back to thank him for saving the kids life. For some reason that story has always stuck in my mind.

I think that if he can hold it together this well when it is his own child, the re-certification process is over. I am very impressed and can only hope I could do as well in that situation.
