Well I guess Pelosi doesn't care anything at all about the people or what they want. I wish they would get that witch out of Washington.

Pelosi has also said that Tea Partyers were "Racists," "Terrorists," "Naz!s," and "Astroturf!" And now she says the Tea Party should be aligned with the Democratic Party as rhey are both against 'Special Interests!' What does it say about the people that elected and re-elected this certifiable nut case?

We would certainly agree to that. There are so few people up here that none of the politicians even campaign here. Pelosi and her group all belong to the San Francisco elite. If our votes counted none of them would be in office.

For those who didn't get the memo about too many threads about healthcare, etc. (not just devoted threads, but all of the threads that turn to such things at some point).
Rather than waste time arguing about the merits (or lack of them) of having the same discussion over and over, and to allow updates, I've used Ron's latest to create a sticky (for awhile) for the entire family of issues involving them. So...have at it and keep it here. :cool: |

Hmmmm. I have tried to stay away from this ever since Jamo STOMPED all over my Hokum thread... not that I was trying to start trouble or anything... but I still would like to get hook on the angle how 1/5 of the economy is health care, and 1/5 of America works for the government (in one form or another, ie, dependant on the guv for their health care).

OK, its got a whiff of conspiracy to it, but 1/5 of the population gets to keep the government "gold plated, untaxed Cadilac" plan, the rest of us smucks pay for it and get the DMV version... what would you do? Keep on keeping on, or go over to the Dark Side and get what the 1/5th are getting? The problem is, what happens when the majority of us work for the government? Yeah, uhuh, I went there.:p |
We all know this health care thing would be paid into for 4 years before any benefits go out. So as to look deficit neutral. Now think, how long can the four years of bonus money last? It can't last forever! What I have heard is that 12 years at best case scenario more cash would be needed.

Well Mike, we have repeatedly asked folks not to keep starting (or hijacking) threads on the same old political crap over and over again...made that clear when I closed your thread.
We've also made it clear that when someone is moderated...that's it, move on without comment. I turned Ron's thread...again, a new thread on the same stuff...into this sticky so you all could just have at it without controlling the entire Lounge. I guess it wasn't good enough. So...time for a break. No political threads will be allowed whatsoever for awhile. Any remarks, complaints or whatever will be met with some time off. :cool: |
