The Cool So Cal Car Scene

Most will remember that I'm the last editor of KIT CAR magazine, but please don't blame the magazine's untimely demise on me. I did my absolute best and loved working on the book.

Anyway, some of you know that I've started an automotive magazine on the internet with a buddy of mine, Ben Moment. The site is called Redline Review - www.RedlineReview.com. The theme of the site is, It's All About Speed. As such, we cover all sorts of cool and fast cars, including kit cars, muscle cars, super cars, vintage sports cars, hybrids and electrics, and street rods. Like many a magazine, we have race coverage articles, show coverage pieces, feature stories, and tech how-to articles.

Our goal is to make RR the facebook for car enthusiasts, so it's free to join. You can upload videos and photos, partake in blogs and emails, rate articles and write commments to Ben and me, etc. We just finished posting the latest article yesterday. It's title is The Cool So Cal Car Scene. Please check out the article here: http://redlinereview.com/articles/ev...o-cal-car-show. If you feel so inclined, we'd love to welcome you as a new member. We'd also be jazzed, if you strong arm all your buddies to join, too.

Thank you for your time. We hope to see y'all at Redline Review.

All the best,

Brian (D. Brian Smith) :)

I miss Kit Car very much and will be going to look at your new magazine as soon as I finish here. I wish you and your partner all the success in the world and am kind of happy to hear that you will be covering all types of cars.

Hi SDR,

Thank you for the good wishes. Yes, that's why you haven't seen KIT CAR on the newsstands since March/April 2009. We hope you'll check out Redline Review, join and get all your buddies to do likewise.

We'll be taking delivery of a Cobra replica kit soon. Watch for tech updates of our progress on Redline Review! I'm also writing a book for CarTech Books with the title Cobra Kit Cars: The Ultimate Guide to Buying Used or Building New Cobra Replicas.

All the best,

Brian

Hey Brian
Just a thought , been meaning to post it for awhile " Cobra Magazine " could be done like Bronco Driver , ie reader submitted articles (club cobra member s) We could spotlite a company each issue ( thats good for what 270 issues ). other articles : Readers rides , events ,Tech-articles , History on the cobra , Buying guide . But cobra's only , ok gt40 and Daytona's to , but you get my point . What's your thoughts ?

Just about every member here and the members of FFCobra would all be for such an Internet magazine. I'd certainly be game to be the chief editor, but it couldn't just be another labor of love for me. I already have two of those - Redline Review and the Cobra replica build book.

All the best,

Brian
