Kwik Lift & Race Deck
Any others out there with a Kwik Lift on a Race Deck floor. Did you end up bolting your Kwik Lift down??? Or, what did you do to keep it from sliding around on the Race Deck????
I realize this is only a problem when driving on or off of the lift, but it still is a problem that needs addressing........Thanks, Earl **)**)**)**)**)**)**)**)**)**)**)**)**)**) |
Earl,
I have a Kwik Lift on Race Deck flooring and it has been there for about 10 years. I have never had any problem with anything sliding at all. I have driven all of my cars on and off the Kwik Lift and it just doesn't move at all. Ron |
Ron,
I don't know what I'm doing wrong then, cause the first time I went to put the car on the rack after installing the Race Deck the rack wanted to slide......:CRY:**) I've even got the uprights waited down with about 100 pounds of weight each andd it still wanted to slide:eek::CRY:**) |
Earl,
That I don't understand. I don't even have any weights on mine at all. They are just like I put them together and I have never had them move an inch and I have put some 4,000 pound cars on them. I called a friend who has basically the same set up that I have and he said his had never tried to slide even when he had them out on his concrete driveway which has a smooth finish. That front lift bar on mine is so heavy I have to use the floor jack just to lift it when I want to take them apart. Ernie, Excaliber, drove his Cobra onto them with no problem at all. Ron |
