Good luck. I would have just taken it back to the dealer and asked for my money back. They sold it to you under false pretenses plain and simple.

I agree, you should just take it back to the dealer that you bought it from and get all your money back including the 5K.

With that being said, you invested $5K to up grade and fix the problem, getting your money that back from your dealer is going to be tuff. if the selling dealer would have fixed it, in lieu of you doing it on your own perhaps the problem would have been solved.
There are millions of Jeeps that have been modified after the car was sold new, in some cases the dealers will send them out to get it modified prior to the new car sale.

Just get a lawyer and go after the Dealers sorry A** . Chrysler corp. didn't modifiy the Jeep originally so they are off the hook.
Good Luck, remember "Buyer Beware".

Yeah, hard to find a low mile 06 Rubicon though. They changed the body style in 07. I wanted another TJ (I have an 03 as well). I hear what you are saying though.

I hear you, I just thought Chrysler would have stepped in and tried to fix the situation since the dealership is flying their banner.

BTW: How has the weather been out there? My snowbirds got there a couple weeks ago, but I have not talked to them.

You purchased a vehicle that was modified outside of the manufacturers specifications.

They are not going to warranty that.

You issue is with the dealer that sold you the vehicle.

I probably repeated what other have said.

:D

Yeah, I understand. The problem as I see it though is I bought it from a CHRYSLER dealer. When I owned Conoco dealerships I had to answer to Conoco if I did something wrong. Chrysler is telling me too bad but you have to take care of the problem yourself.

I will not buy another Chrysler product if this is how they take care of their customers. Chevy and Ford have always taken care of me. Chevy stepped up several time after my truck was out of warranty. They will get my business, not Chrysler.

I wish Chrysler would not have been bailed out by the government, because then maybe another more reputable company could have picked up the Jeep brand. I am not the only one that feels this way. There are alot of people on the Jeep forum I am a member of, that are not fans of Chrysler. Sorry for the rant, I get pissed just thinking about the idiots I have talked to from this company.
