Burning rubber
 
I was wondering, how many gears can you burn rubber in your cobra , mostly for you big block guys?

First gear was virtually useless other than wasting tires in my coupe. Second gear, I could get rubber all day, with a nice satisfying chirp in third. But, that was a small block Ford 392, rated at 430 HP, TKO 600, and 3.73 gears.

Just looked at the Copper Cobra's on the rear of my Contemporary and to my disbelief, they're shot---after 4000 miles at the most. I don't track it, don't drag it and in general, take it pretty easy. I've only really 'lit'em up' once the whole time I've had the car (5000 miles). won't have any more Coopers. they must be made out of sponge rubber or sumthin
