Here it is along with my Sig P228 that I use for USPSA stuff.
I just bought a Springfield 1911 Mil Spec. It's with my dad, who does some gunsmith work.

Is this more of a southern thing? Friends of mine in southern states swear by keeping a weapon in the car, but I don't know if I have ever had a friend say that from a northern state (including friends that own and don't own guns).

I'm new to the South West, and been a New Englander most of my life. I've carried for most of my adult life, and keep a "trunk gun" too. A kel tec sub 2000 (folds up nice into the spare tire well.) with 3 -33 round glock stick mags for a total of 99 rounds at the ready
