Off topic, a week of Bucket-Ts

This is in the lounge because the membership here was kind enough to let me share T-buckets in the past. Just wrapped up a week long bucket gathering in Mountain Home, Arkansas. 4000+ miles for me in 4 days of driving. 30 years ago that didn't bother me, but now, ouch. There was a bucket rodeo, then giving 100 Sunday School kids ages 5~12 a blast in the Ts, also ferried all of the Ts (State Highway department had to put more ferries in service for us) across the lake. Visited the retirement home for the gearheads there, and had 6 cruises in the 100 mile range led by the 3rd highest ranking LEA in the county that also has a T-bucket. Rick also hosted two dinners at his fine log cabin home.

For all you older guys, this is Norm Grabowski, the builder of Cookie's T on that early 60's TV show.

When I was a kid the T Bucket was the one that first caught my eye. I have been a car guy ever since.

I have never owned a T Bucket but on our 10 year high school graduation reunion a friend let me take his Blown T Bucket to the BBQ day outing. I had soooo much fun in that thing. Yes I drove it responsibly on the street.... well there was that once I boiled the tires. :)

Fun to drive for sure.

As you Cobra owners know, the power to weight ratio of your rides is just plain addicting. I drove a new Caddy CTS-V home from the dealer tonight, and even with 556 hp and a 6 speed stick propelling 4300 lbs, it just isn't anywhere near as fast as the Track-T. A little number crunching tells me to have the same power to weight ratio, the V would need 1,075 hp.

Great stuff...thanks.

Deckofficer,

Love the pictures. Just a note, Brent also has a hot rod site Club Hot Rod Forums - The Front Page. You might want to visit there also. I am sure they would welcome you there and love your pictures.

Keep posting theme here also though. I think we all like pictures. Although I could be wrong and over stepping my boundries again.

Thanks Terry, I'm always game for a new forum about hot rods, what I have lived and breathed for 40 years, I'll go introduce myself over there.
