In Memoriam: Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012)
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation: I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies. Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night. Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us. ____ Dead at 43. |
Why is it, that after reading of the passing of such a person, we feel a little reduced in our own self.
I guess, because we all need heroes. Vaya Con Dios, Andrew |
He just had "Ball's" and didn't care if he ruffled a feathers. Sad that he is gone.

I posted his passing over on FFCars. All I said was that we lost one of the good guys. You would not believe the vitriol and venom spewed and complete spinning of one of the stories he had reported on. They shut it down. Sad. I'm 28 yrs older than him, and he was one of my hero's. RIP Andrew.
John O If you get a chance, watch his CPAC speech. |
I hope they did an autopsy. And I hope it was done by a Conservative.
Not fair that he is no longer with us. You left this World a better place by being here Andrew. The Universe welcomes your good spirit. Arthur |
There's nothing to say when one shines their perspective on an event, person, or commonly held view -- except either to look into the matter further or to attack the messenger. Thank you Andrew for your passion and ability to ignore the name callers and challenge popular perceptions and press us to ask for more information.

A word of caution...don't bring your battle from another forum over here.
We are not happy when that happens. thanks ron ClubCobra Moderator |
Thank you Ron. I can't agree with you more. I should not have responded to his baiting.
