Houston-extended stay?
I think I am posting this in the right place.
As some of you may have read I am taking my daughter Wendy to the Burzinsky clinic in Houston soon. She will be treated for a brain tumor/cancer and will need an extended place to stay. It has to have a kitchen with full refrigerator, (for her medications), of course cooking facilities,(I certainly can't afford three meal a day on a special diet somewhere)! On site laundry facilities would be nice. Course a pool and cabana would be nice too, but... Any suggestions for the Houston area? (We could actually be there for a full 6 months but we certainly hope not! Ed (DV) Combs |

Post this over on the Texas Forum. Lots of Houston guys hang around there. You can also look them up on the Houston Cobra Group on Yahoo Groups. I hope they can help you and your daughter is in our prayers. |

There are numerous places in the Houston area. Where is the clinic located, near the Medical Center I guess? The Houston Cobra Club also has a Yahoo group, Houstoncobraclub@yahoogroups.com that you might post to. They're a great bunch of folks. I'm in Houston, not far from downtown area. If I can help, drop me a line. Marriott has some of the extended stay type places with mini kitchens and such. You and your daughter will be in our prayers. Curtis |

Man I miss you guys! Any way we have found a full apartment with separate bedrooms, full kitchen, large frig, etc. Got the call this morning, opening on the 26th. Would have liked to have had "eyes on it" but the web info. looks good. (?) TV, wireless, kitchen utensils including pots-pans, etc. Anybody familiar with "Afton Gardens"? Apts for corporate clients. Now we're just waiting for the' phone call! DV |
I have prayed for your family and will continue to do so. I have also experienced a little one with cancer. If it was not for the grace of God, we could not have gotten through it. Please keep us posted.
